We have 2 dogs, who are family dogs. I do not shut the dogs outside or
in a cage while children are here. They both grew up with my children and love people. They have had their ears pulled and
poked, tails yanked and twisted, had children try to ride them or carry them, and even been poked in the eyes. Joy and Lily
don't care, they still follow the kids around. Lily will lay a little ways away and watch. Joy will cuddle up next to them
and lay her head in their lap.
I know that some people have allergies and some just don't think
it's a good idea to mix children and animals, so I understand if you feel this way.
At times, we also have various bugs that children catch while outside.
We only keep them for a few hours, to watch them, and then let them go again.
