The only things that I keep to the schedule is meals, unless your child has a certain other special time that needs to
stay on schedule.
Breakfast, snack, lunch, two afternoon snacks, supper, and an "almost bedtime" snack mark the periods between playtimes
and also give the children an idea of the time of day.
Children love to play outside, read and/or be read to, talk, make things, play games, do puzzles, and anything else they
can think of to do. If they know it is accepted and even encouraged, they will make suggestions for activities. I do not wish
to confine our children's imagination and learning experiences with rigid schedules. I enjoy seeing the creative ideas
that spring when there is freedom from time restrictions.
